| What You Neeed to Know About Crib Safety | |||||
|
I know you've been thinking about how well your
baby will sleep at night. I'm pretty sure you only
want to buy a crib once and have it last for years
to come. Do not settle for a cheap particle board
crib with a bunch of plastic parts that is going
to fall apart on you as soon as your child starts
trying to climb out of the crib. You may want to
consider a convertible crib that is designed for
use in four stages, (crib, toddler, daybed and
full bed). Certain cribs are designed specifically
to grow with your child, taking care of all their
sleeping needs from baby to toddler and beyond.
Convertible Crib Conveniences Having a multiple level mattress adjustment is standard on many convertible cribs. This makes it super easy to adjust the mattress down as your baby gets grows into a feisty toddler and wants to try to crawl out of the crib. Safety is the most important factor of all Do not assume that all cribs are created equal, especially where safety standards are concerned, and only buy a crib meeting U.S. safety standards. I recommend a crib with no movable parts, with a static rail system that does not drop or slide as your baby reaches the toddler stage. It just makes them fall apart quicker and is simply not very safe. Not only does having a crib with no moving parts make for a safer environment for your child, it also adds to the longevity of the crib. You may want to think about an ex-friendly manufacturer that uses only wood harvested from sustainable forest lands and is free of toxic chemicals in their finish. Looks and functionality, safety and an eco-friendly approach to manufacture would make the perfect crib. Considering all the factors that are important to most parents, I simply do not understand how some of these cheap crib manufacturers stay in business. I can guarantee you will never have to buy another bed for your child if you use all the tips I offered above. Spending a little bit more now will certainly save you a lot of money in the long run.
